Are you a Sports Fanatic?
It baffles me that people call themselves a sports nut or a sports fanatic and yet they only watch one sports. And most the time they only watch one team. Yesterday I had a discussion with a potential client that I was working on a mortgage for. In the discussion, we started talking about sports. And then it hit me like a ton of bricks that he called himself a sports nut and yet all he could talk about was the Atlanta Falcons and the upcoming season. When I would attempt to change the subject to the Braves , he would divert the conversation back to what he felt comfortable with. If I wanted to talk about the races at the Atlanta Motor Speedway , he once again stayed away from Kyle Busch or Jimmy Johnson and got back to the Falcons. It seemed to be the same when I would mention the Hawks or the Thrashers as well.
Once the conversation was over and we hung up, I had realized that my conversation was not with a total sports fanatic but a Falcons Fanatic after speaking to my business partner Rich Dansereau . My question to you is, do you love sports or do you love your team?
