Inianapolis Colts: Getting geared up
The Indianapolis Colts are looking forward to the 2008 NFL season and with good reason. Just before camp started, start quarterback Peyton Manning had to have surgery to remove an infected bursa sack in his knee. Now when I first heard surgery, my initial thought was how long. Then when I finally got the whole story from the wonderful media I
knew that we would see the familiar QB under center. If not on opening day against the Chicago Cubs, then at least the next week.
With that said back-up QB Jim Sorgi has been getting his time in as he wants to be prepared in case anything does happen. One of the great things about Peyton being on the sidelines for now is Jim gets the majority of the snaps and gets the input from one of the greatest quarterbacks that this decade has known.
Joseph Addai returns to the backfield again this year and again it looks as though he will have most of the snaps. With that said, all eyes are on rookie running back Mike Hart. He entered the Hall of Fame game in the third quarter and by the end of it he was the Colt’s leading rusher. Now, we all know, this is preseason, so we have to take that into account. hart contributed a lot of the yardage gained to the offensive line that did a phenomenal job pushing off the line of scrimmage.
Both Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne are back and joined by 2nd year wide receiver Anthony Gonzalez. Dallas Clark will see most of the snaps at Tight End position.
The defense is back and strong as ever. For many years this has been the achilles heel. As of late, it is not that way. Gary Brackett and Dwight Freeney will be the anchors for this dynamite sqaud.
It is easy to predict that these boys will be there in the playoffs.

This is a great preview of one of the best teams out there. I did notice one omission, you left out the phenomenal Bob Sanders! He is all over the field.
Rich, that I did. And that he is.
