When does it end?
Over the last few days, all I hear about is Josh Howard. If you have yet to hear the latest, here is the YouTube Video to view. This is the ESPN version.
Now, this is only one example of sports players that think they are above it all. My question is, when will it end. For Josh, this is the third or fourth incident. And to do this in a town like Dallas, he will be lucky if he survives the NBA. No one wants that kind of baggage on their team.
But, it goes much deeper that than. If you look around you can see issues after issues. In Chicago, there was the matter of Tank Johnson. In Green Bay, the issues of Brett Favre coming out of “retirement”. In Tennessee, there was PacMan Jones, who now defends for Dallas. In Philadelphia, there was Terrell Owens. In Arlington, for the Texas Rangers, there was the incident of Kenny Rogers and the camera man. In Boston, there was Manny Ramirez. And what is worse than that, it is not just limited to players. For the Chicago White Sox, you have Ozzie Guillen who has to be talked to on a regular bases by the commissioner due to Foot-n-Mouth disease. I can go on and on and on of the players that think that they have their respective league by the scrotum.
My question is simple; at what point is enough enough?
