Tennessee Titans Remain Undefeated

Published by poopy head at 7:41 am under Football, Pro Football, Sports Edit This

Last night you could feel the shift in power. The first three quarters were an even match up. Then, when the fourth quarter arrived, the Tennessee Titans did what they do best; outscore their opponents. The final score of the Monday Night Football contest was 31-21. For anyone that watched this game or any of the games the Indianapolis Colts , tennessee-titans-logo.jpgyou can see that they do not have it together this year. This is very evident when you look at their 3-4 record now. There are 2 outcomes to this game. The first is easy to see as the Tennessee Titans remain undefeated. The second is the fact that the balance of power has shifted to the Titans now.

As I said earlier, the fourth quarter was the difference maker for the Titans. It started when kicker Ron Bironas split the uprights from 48 yards out just 10 seconds in the final quarter of play. The Colts would take their next possession and drive all the way to the 34 yard line of the Titans. They would turn the ball over on downs as Peyton Manning could not complete a 4th and 2 pass. The Titans would then use 6:51 of the play clock on their 13 play drive. It would be capped off by a 1 yard dive from LenDale White. The Colts would turn the ball over again on the 4th play of their next drive. Peyton would be picked off by Safety Chris Hope. Chris Johnson would go off the right end for 16 yards and a score on the first play of the Titans drive give the Titans a 17 point lead with just 3:38 left on the clock. As much as it would excite the Colts fan, the 11 play drive for the final score of the game a little late to do any significant damage.
