Suspended in Time

Published by poopy head at 7:52 am under Sports Edit This

Monday night saw something that does not happen too often; A Suspended Post Season Game. As a matter of fact, up to this point, it has never happened in the history of the World Series. The World Series has became suspended in time on Monday night due to heavy rain. On Tuesday, it was impossible to play. On Wednesday, they will once again try to get this game in. At stake for the Philadelphia Phillies is only their second championship in 126 years. At Stake for the Tampa Bay Rays is a chance to take the game back to St Petesburg, Florida and to the friendly confines of Tropicana Field where weather has no reign.

So, lets break this down the simple way for both of these teams. The game will resume where it left on on Monday Night at the start of the bottom of the 6th. The socre is 2-2. Due up for the Phillies will be the number 9 spot, then back to the top of the order. For the home team Phillies, they will be attempting to gain the lead and end this game in 3 innings. For the visitng Rays, they will be playing defense first. Once they come to bat, Navarro will be the first up.

Here is hoping that Mother Nature is kind enough to allow for this game to continue.
